Trauma is not what terrible thing has happened to you – that’s traumatic.

Trauma is what happens inside of you as a result of those things.

Trauma is caused by any event where you feel threatened and helpless. Examples can be a childhood characterised by neglect or abandonment. It may be suffering through illness, death, divorce, abuse, living in fear, shame, guilt or bullying.

It’s a shut down of self.

The loss of connection to self makes it hard to live in the present moment.

We disconnect from self. We’re driven by past hurt when we can’t be present.

 

What is The Richards Trauma Process (TRTP)?

TRTP is a new and revolutionary modality for resolving trauma that is achieving results regarded as impossible even as recently as 10 years ago. It has the capability to resolve issues effectively and safely in just five (1.5 hour) sessions where conventional treatments can run for years. It gets to the core of your self-limiting beliefs quickly and in the first session changes them.

 

TRTP The Richards Trauma Process, is a gentle process that allows you - without re-living or re-traumatising - to address and let go of the underlying triggers. TRTP uses evidence-based practices to create changes that are quick, safe and lasting.

 

Trauma is not stored in the conscious mind - trauma is stored in the unconscious mind

TRTP works where the trauma or distress is stored and addresses it there – in the subconscious mind. It uses very gentle hypnosis (simply using your imagination) to connect you with your best self, to target and clear negative core beliefs, traumatic memories and distressing past events. The sessions guide you to find the place within you  where it is possible to create a positive future with the freedom to be vibrantly alive.

WHO IS A CANDIDATE FOR TRTP?

A good candidate is someone who’s just champing at the bit to be well.  They really want to be well. They want to be rid of their anxiety, depression, fears, shame, weight, phobias – they want to be successful. The programme is also perfect for high-achievers who want to stop self-sabotaging, improve their performance and feel truly fulfilled.

The great philosopher, Seneca, said 2000 years ago ‘It is part of the cure to wish to be cured’.

A light hypnosis is used in Session 1, Session 2 and Session 3.

Hypnosis is simply speaking to the unconscious in the language of the unconscious. What is the language of the unconscious? It’s the imagination.

Why do we do that? Because trauma is not stored in the conscious mind. If it was stored in the conscious mind, we’d be able to go …’Ok, well, that was years ago. This is now. I’m going to get over it.’ It doesn’t work!

Trauma is stored in the unconscious mind, not the cognitive mind. We speak to the unconscious where the trauma is stored. We do that by using the language of the unconscious. The language of the unconscious is the imagination.

In TRTP, we use this extraordinary facility to create various scenarios. The client imagines these scenarios richly. The body and the unconscious believe they have actually happened.  And we re-programme the unconscious.

TRTP is extraordinary. It’s really simple. It’s fast. And it doesn’t re-traumatise.

In TRTP, your emotions change automatically. You are no longer out of control.  You are no longer triggered.  Your thoughts automatically change.  It’s not about teaching you techniques or have you consciously change your way of thinking.

I take you through 5 sessions.  Allow at least an hour and a half for each session.

PRE-TALK SESSION 1.  

The first half of the session is psycho education where I explain what are unconscious core beliefs and where they originate. The second half is teaching you an extraordinarily fast way to immediately change your unconscious beliefs.

Examples of unconscious core beliefs are: ‘I’m not good enough’, ‘I’m not lovable’ etc.

 Our conscious mind runs things only about 5% of the time. 95% of what we do and our behaviours is run by the unconscious mind.  Self-sabotage comes from the unconscious mind. If you want to create success, and the unconscious is screaming ‘it’s not safe to be successful’, ‘it’s not safe to be seen and heard’, it’s not safe to stand out and be outstanding, the unconscious is always going to win.

 So it’s important that we get the unconscious and the conscious mind in agreement and in sync.  And that’s a powerful thing.

SESSION 1. 

In this beautiful session, we are going to be using a very light and gentle hypnosis to change your unconscious core beliefs to the positive, so that there will be no sabotage going forward, and that will change the pattern of your life.  If you have the pattern of abuse or bullying, you will have the unconscious core belief that ‘I don’t matter’, ‘I deserve to be punished’, ‘I deserve to suffer’.

 That has to be changed right at the beginning. What happens when we change those unconscious core beliefs, is the client’s entire identity shifts.  This is absolutely foundational to the process of TRTP.

So by the second session you are in an empowered position with the conscious and unconscious in sync.  In session 1I’m going to introduce you to the truth of who you are without these false thoughts you took on when you were little. You will receive your own recording of this session so you can replay it prior to the next session.

PRE-TALK SESSION 2

The first half is psycho-education about what to expect in session 2.  I will explain to you how we will turn off the video tape loops from throughout your life that have been causing you distress. The second half is more hands-on training in preparation for your session 2. You learn how to release your adrenalin so you enter a state where change can happen quickly.

SESSION 2.

This is where the rubber hits the road. It’s like a software update for your mind. A reboot! It’s about putting you in an empowered position where you can let go of limiting beliefs and step into your power. It’s where we turn off the video tape loops in the unconscious and take the emotional charge out of the past.  As these turn off, all the symptoms, whether they’re related to anxiety, depression, phobias, OCD, post traumatic stress – they just disappear.

This is where the magic of TRTP really occurs.

 

SESSION 3.

The beautiful session 3 is where we consolidate the work we’ve done. It’s is where we create and open up a new future for you.  The future you truly want.  If you have any remaining ‘blocks’, we smash them. 

You leave feeling lighter, more motivated and ready for success. 

 Many people say that it takes weeks or months to create new neural pathways.  Not with TRTP!

Through your sessions we change the foundation – and the neural pathways catch.

That’s why as we go forward over many months, people continue to change because we’ve changed the foundation. 

A common comment from clients is ‘I can’t put my finger on it …. I just feel …. different’.

We’ve changed the unconscious core beliefs.

We’ve changed the entire foundation of a person at the unconscious level and all these neural superhighways that were built on the old foundation.

We changed the foundation.  So, the change continues for many people over years, and things just get better and better.

And it starts with introducing you to the truth of who you really are, without the dreadfulness of the past.
