Clinical Supervision

Drug and Alcohol counselling, Grief and Bereavement, Mental Health including Trauma, Anxiety and Depression and Relationships.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

I am a trained and accredited Clinical Supervisor with membership of Australian Clinical Supervisors Association and a certified member of the Professional College of Supervisors. I currently work with groups in the Drug and Alcohol and Palliative Care field and individuals in many different specialty fields including frontline workers and managers in community based AOD and Mental Health Services.

I provide supervisees with supportive focussed reflective practice, building on strengths, with a practical plan at the conclusion of each session. Reflective Clinical Supervision decreases isolation and refreshes practice in challenging environments both clinical and organisationally. It decreases the risk of burn out and revitalises individuals or teams to meet the ongoing challenges with a client/consumer focus. I also believe supervision is about skill development, thriving as a professional, debriefing tricky situations, learning to set and keep boundaries, and practising self-care. I find regular supervision sessions allow practitioners to review and develop their clinical practice and to restore people’s sense of worth in their workplace, as well as gaining deep insights and learning from their current work.

I have extensive experience in the following areas of therapy: Drug and Alcohol counselling, Grief and Bereavement, Mental Health including Trauma, Anxiety and Depression and Relationships. In my previous career, I was a publisher and editor so I can also guide you with skills in writing, editing and presenting workshops.

I offer one-to-one and peer Clinical Supervision for practitioners working in the fields of Drug and Alcohol, Mental Health, Palliative Care and Relationships Counselling. This can be claimed as a work related expense when completing your tax return.
